Tank Erector
Summary
Per diem ($100 per day)
Pay is based on experience
Classified as a “direct hire” hourly position with full-time benefits; not contract work
Erect and install bolted steel tanks and/or domes
Part of a 4-6-man field construction crew
100% continuous out-of-state travel working 6 to 7 days per week
Requirements:
Must be capable of and willing to work continuously on the road for up to 3 months at a time
Must work in all hot & cold weather extremes
Must be capable of properly lifting a minimum of 150 pounds
Must provide and wear steel-toed boots
Must comply with all site and company safety rules and standards
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow safety procedures
Must be capable of passing basic tests on safety such as “Contractor Safety Council”
Skills and Specifications for Construction Tank Assembler:
Experience with Geodesic Domes and Bolted Tank Installation is a PLUS
Must be able to perform elevated work safely & confidently for extended periods while tied off and wearing a harness
Knowledge and ability to use common measuring instruments and hand tools such as tape measures, level, or square
Ability to receive and comprehend verbal and/or non-verbal directions from Crew Foreman
Use a variety of hand & power tools, fixtures, work instructions, and other equipment to correctly assemble tank systems
Lift, carry, or guide machine-aided movement of assembly material such as steel sheets, channels, tubes, mechanical fasteners, & other items as requested/needed for tank assembly
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Have current or able to obtain OSHA 10-hour training within the first 30 days of employment. 3-D Tank Services provides this training for all new hires.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
Must have a valid driver’s license or identification card.
Bolted Tank Foreman
Location: US Domestic
Job Type: Full-Time
Travel Requirement: 90% domestic US (multi-state)
3-D Tank Services is looking for a skilled and experienced Bolted Tank Foreman to lead a field construction crew in erecting and installing bolted steel tanks and aluminum covers. This role is critical in ensuring the successful and safe completion of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Erect and install bolted steel tanks and aluminum covers.
Manage a 4-6-man field construction crew.
Complete all site documentation, including daily reports and timesheets.
Reports directly to the Field Operations Manager.
Work alongside the crew as a working foreman.
Perform elevated work safely and confidently up to 125 feet.
Operate standard erection equipment (forklifts, manlifts, scissor lifts, etc.).
Safely operate hand and power tools (both electric and pneumatic).
Comply with all site and company safety rules and standards.
Maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Obtain OSHA 10-hour training within the first 30 days of employment (if not current). 3-D Tank Services provides this training for all new hires.
Must pass basic safety tests such as OSHA 30, Basic Plus, and MSHA 48.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is desired but not required.
Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
Willing to work in all weather conditions (hot and cold).
Experience in bolted tank construction is a plus.
